posted 14/04/2016

This event is on Tuesday 10 May 2016

The speaker for our Dinner Meeting being held in the Seagoe Hotel Portadown on Tuesday the 10th May for 7.30pm will be the Reverend Ken Davidson who is the minister of the Elim Church in Donacloney. Ken grew up on the Shore Road, Belfast. Although his parents weren’t church going people he was sent to Sunday School and the Boys’ Brigade. He got into sports and with hard training became the Irish Champion of Kick-boxing in two different weights and represented Ireland at the World Games. A bad head injury ended this career so he became a Door-Bouncer until someone held a gun at him with the threat of killing him. Taking steroids by injection for body building led to LSD, cocaine, alcoholism, horrifying visions, suicidal thoughts and homelessness. He developed pneumonia from lying outside in the snow. He had became an empty hopeless lost soul until he encountered two Christian ladies who took him to a meeting. On that same night he was Born-again, healed and delivered. Please join with us to hear his amazing story of God’s goodness!! We realise that it is not always possible for everyone to arrive in time for the meal, but please be assured that you will be most welcome to join with us later. The meal is usually over around 8.30pm so any time after this won’t be an embarrassment for you to come in.
