Comments from our FGB Halifax week end which replaced the planned FGB Advance in Nottingham – cancelled due to government intervention when our hotel was used to aid refugees.
Our young worship team from Ireland Jordan Joshua and Caleb helped worship, and here are some comments. The introduction is from the organiser Trevor:
God is at work, I was asked to write an account of the one-day event held in Halifax to host our Irish guests that were to lead praise at the Advance, instead of my words here is some of the feedback I have received:-

Saturday was brilliant, thank you so much. Thanks to Helen and the caterers, and Mark for his leading. What an encouragement to see all the young folk. Praise God for all He’s doing amongst us.
Mark
Thanks for yesterday for putting on a great event,. I felt it was really useful having an open forum for everyone to share what they felt the Holy Spirit was saying. Some pieces fitted with the jigsaw, and some didn’t, but it wasn’t about that, it was about being free to hear God.
Les
Thank you, Trevor and team, for today. All your hard work and organising accomplished a great deal. We will look back on today both as an exciting and challenging day with Jesus, and a turning point in many lives. With Jesus living in our hearts, the best is yet to come.
Harry
Thanks again Trevor for your hospitality and weekend filled with the Holy Spirit. It was great to see God actively moving in an FGB event through our members, great worship, and real ministry, with people actively involved through prayer and the gifts of the Spirit. We have two new members under 25 discussing who they might encourage to join the FGB in their age group. God’s touching hearts through FGB again Hallelujah.
We came together at 10.00 a.m. no agenda, no speaker, handed the meeting over to the Holy Spirit and the young men, and off it went. Due to finish at 4.00p.m. 4.30 came and went as did 5.00 and at 5.30 the man who came to open the building in the morning had stayed all day but had to go. One local gardener was rained off, so he called in to give a message to a friend in the morning; he was the last out, on fire, speaking in tongues and transformed to a point he went straight to the pastor’s house to tell him of the amazing things he had seen.
