Come join us with Craigavon Chapter’s FGB dinner on the 14th – at the Bannville Hotel, Bannbridge. This month we have Noel Mills sharing with us, it will be a great testimony and amazing dinner as always!
Noel is from a Belfast family and has a love of football and music. Growing up in Belfast in the 60’s and 80’s was a very sectarian place, which Noel became influenced by. In his mid-teens he had a transforming experience when he found faith in Jesus. He began to love those who he once hated and befriended them.
He was led to a Theological College and worked as an Elim pastor and also with the Methodists. He became a church planter in the North of Ireland by getting one established in Carryduff, Hillsborough, and Dromore. He then went to the South of Ireland and established a church in Connaught. He returned to the North and is presently helping in a church in Crumlin, and now lives in Banbridge. He is involved in music and comedy, and has performed throughout Ireland.
On the 9th of the 9th Month and in the year 1999 he had a major, and second heart-attack, when his heart stopped and he was clinically dead. He had a Heavenly Out of Body experience, seeing Heaven and feeling peace and tranquillity which changed his life. Since this time he has had several more heart-attacks.
In 2004 his wife died in hospital, He was in hospital at the same time with heart problems. He remarried to Heather in 2006; they have 2 daughters and a grandson. In 2017 he was a victim of a serious sectarian attack, when he almost died.
Noel is a wonderful musician and worship leader as well, so it’s sure to be a very enriching meeting with a few lively songs.
